About Indispensable Health & How Our Pharmacy Company Began
Indispensable Health was born when the owner, Todd Raehtz, began working as a relief pharmacist in 1997. The demand was so great he created Indispensable Health’s pharmacy staffing services, to meet them.
Clients were happy, so much so that new services were created. Raehtz recalls when he started offering pharmacy management services, “...our first client came to us and said, ‘we like having you in our pharmacy. Can you run it for us?’”
As the company advanced, so did technology. It became evident that we could perform most functions of hospital pharmacy remotely, as the focus of pharmacy evolved from product management to clinical management. With a few simple adaptations of off-the-shelf technology, we were able to cover multiple small hospital pharmacies with a single pharmacist, and from there Indispensable began offering telepharmacy services, as well.
Currently headquartered in Grass Lake, MI, Indispensable Health serves pharmacies, from the pharmacy we own in Grass Lake, to those throughout the state of Michigan, as well as other states. Our mission is to provide cost-effective pharmacy programs, for health systems and pharmacy organizations. We optimize operations and business intelligence. It is our goal to provide patient-centric care through pharmacy analytics, telepharmacy, and telecommunications to improve adherence, high-quality pharmacy staffing and hiring individuals who believe in our morals along with bringing their niche skill-sets to the work environment.
Clients continue to discover Indispensable Health to solve, improve, and meet the needs of their pharmacies or pharmacy departments through our Pharmacy Staffing (StaffRx), Telepharmacy (TelepharmRx), Pharmacy Management & Assistance (ManageRx), Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Pharmacy Services (ASCRx), Pharmacy Analytics (AnalyzeRx), and Retail Pharmacy Services (RetailRx). As we approach our 25th year in business we continue to expand the types of services we provide to a wide range of pharmacies.
